The SSGCAA Member Portal is not a commercial shop. It is a secure, community-operated platform managed directly by the St. Stephen's Girls' College Alumnae Association (SSGCAA) Digital Committee — fellow alumnae serving our community.
All offerings here are commemorative group orders and limited releases authorized by the SSGCAA Executive Committee as special member benefits (e.g., 120th Anniversary items). Most products are made-to-order or fulfilled through pre-orders, with only a small number of extras occasionally produced for sale at upcoming gatherings, meetups, or events.
100% of contributions go directly to the SSGCAA to support student development, school initiatives, and alumnae welfare. Because this is a non-profit, community-focused initiative rather than a retail business, our policy reflects the nature of these special, limited commemorative items.
General Policy: Non-Refundable All purchases through the SSGCAA Member Portal are final and non-refundable. This includes pre-orders, made-to-order commemorative items, and any limited extra stock sold at events.
We are unable to offer refunds for change of mind, sizing issues, or any other reason, as these items are produced specifically for our community based on orders received.
Exchanges (Size or Item) We understand that sizing can sometimes be tricky with commemorative apparel and merchandise. We will do our best to help where possible, but exchanges are not guaranteed and are subject to availability of extra stock only.
- If you need to exchange for a different size (or occasionally a similar item), please email us at ssgcaa1906@gmail.com as soon as possible after receiving your item.
- We will check if matching extra stock is available from our limited reserve (often held for events/gatherings).
- If extra stock is available, we will coordinate the exchange — preferably by facilitating it in person at one of our upcoming alumnae gatherings, meetups, or events to keep things simple and community-oriented.
- Exchanges are handled case-by-case and may not always be possible due to limited quantities.
Items must be in original, unused condition with all tags attached and original packaging to be considered for any exchange.
Damages, Defects, or Wrong Item We take great care in fulfilling our community orders, but if you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect (e.g., wrong size sent due to our error), please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately at ssgcaa1906@gmail.com.
Provide photos and details so we can evaluate the issue quickly. If confirmed as our error, we will make it right by arranging a replacement from any available extra stock or exploring other reasonable solutions within our community resources. (Refunds remain unavailable even in these cases, per our non-profit commemorative model.)
Exceptions and Non-Returnable Items
- All items are non-returnable and non-refundable as outlined above.
- This includes personalized/custom commemorative products, perishable/limited-run items, and anything produced specifically for group orders.
- Sale/discounted extras (if any) and any digital/gift allocations follow the same final-sale policy.
European Union – Right of Withdrawal For shipments to the European Union: Under normal EU consumer rules, there is a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel for any reason. However, this right does not apply to our items because they are made-to-order, customized, or clearly personalized commemorative products produced specifically based on member orders (exempt under EU Consumer Rights Directive, Article 16(c)).
Therefore, the standard 14-day cancellation right is not available for orders placed through the SSGCAA Member Portal.
